Calalenta Rosé is the Italian alternative to a 'Provence style rosé'. The color is very light pink, fresh aromas in the nose of strawberry, freshly cut watermelon and rose petals. Wonderfully refreshing taste in the mouth with notes of fresh fruit, flowers with soft, delicious mineral notes, followed by a long aftertaste with a fresh acidity in combination with fresh fruit.
Calalenta Rosé is made from 100% Merlot. The vineyards here are in a prime location in the Sud Abruzzo area, pruned low and planted on steep hills at altitudes up to 250 meters above sea level, ensuring a wine with an excellent balance of aromas and acidity. The grapes are picked by hand at night and immediately after harvest they are cooled to -1° C and pressed. The first pressing is fermented for 20 days at a temperature of up to 10 ° C in a stainless steel tank. After a light and rapid maturation on the lees for 30 days in stainless steel, the wine is gently refined, filtered and immediately bottled.
