L'Avenir Provenance Chenin Blanc
Beautiful, bright straw-yellow color. Full flavour, with rich notes of ripe pineapple, juicy pear and melon. In addition, honey and roasted almonds from partial fermentation in oak barrels. The subtle acidity ensures that this wine remains refreshing and crispy. Light mineral notes at the end.
Vinification
Fermentation at a temperature of 12-14 degrees in steel barrels for a period of 18 days. After this, approximately 60% of the grapes matured further in stainless steel barrels. The juice was stirred regularly. The remaining 40% is aged in French oak barrels for a period of six to nine months.
Origin
For this vintage, the Chenin Blanc vines benefited from very suitable conditions. The grapes were harvested a month earlier than usual due to the excellent weather. This ultimately led to very healthy grapes and the earliest harvest of the past 50 years.
