Laurent Miquel Solas Reserve Chardonnay 2023

A delicious wine in combination with cod or coalfish. Due to the light wood maturation, this Chardonnay can complement the dish excellently.

Laurent Miquel is based in the Pays d'Oc with Chateau Cazal Viel. The Chateau has been around for centuries and was previously owned by the local monks.

Solas is Irish for 'light' and old French for 'enjoyment'. A nice synonym for the marriage between Laurent (French) and Neasa (Irish) Miquel.

The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, which may not sound very romantic, but it does ensure that the fruit aroma is beautifully expressed. After this, the Chardonnay juice is briefly matured on used wood.

A beautiful pure white wine from the Pays d'Oc, one made from 100% Chardonnay. The mineral subsoil on the rocky slopes is one with the grape vines. A good choice by Laurent's ancestors to plant grapes at this location.
