Founded in 1960, Weingut Leth has developed into one of the leading buildings in the Wagram region, located in Fels, about 50 km east of Vienna. 50 hectares run by the Leth family, directly on the terraces of the Wagram Hills. The deep loess soils are excellent for Grüner Veltliner, half of the vine area is planted with this variety. The winery not only sets requirements for the quality of their products, but also in distribution. Leth wines can be found throughout Europe, America, Japan and the Far East. Two-thirds of the products are sold on export markets. The brain behind Weingut Leth is Franz Leth, born in 1961, together with his parents Franz & Barbara Leth, he grew up with wine, his passion has never been anything other than wine. He started his career with a thorough education in Austria, where the leading oenologists are trained, and a number of studies abroad. Together with his brother Erich, he joined the family business in 1981. The aim is to achieve the highest quality, which has made Weingut Leth one of the fifty most highly regarded wineries in Austria. A new source of inspiration and knowledge in winemaking is the contribution of his son Franz Jr., he has taken responsibility for winemaking since 2006. The consistent quality philosophy was honored in 2015 and was appointed member of Austria's most respected wine growers' association "Traditionsweingüter Österreich".

The soil where the vines grow consists of loess, partly sand and gravel soil on terraces between 200 and 350 meters altitude. The goal is sustainable viticulture because no pesticides have been used for 25 years. Only good grapes are used to create a clear, light and youthful wine.
