Tenuta Argentiera Ventaglio IGT 2015
Tenuta Argentiera Ventaglio IGT
Ventaglio 's superior complexity and structure, balanced by undeniable elegance, represent the utmost expression of Cabernet Franc (and a little Cabernet Sauvignon) in Bolgheri.
All work on the vines and during harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, minimizing interventions and ensuring that all cultivation methods are aimed at full environmental sustainability and maintenance of the vitality of the soil.
The "quality of the wine" is a direct result of the quality of the vineyard. The “morning grapes”, “afternoon grapes” and “evening grapes” are fermented together, adding up their differences in aromatic development, ripeness and freshness to create a wine that is more than the sum of its parts, an all-round “collective natural creation” in which all the nuances of the terroir find their correct, balanced expression.
It is a robust and full-bodied wine, with a deep purple color and aromas of ripe black fruit, such as blackberries and blueberries, supplemented with notes of herbs and cedar wood. In the mouth the wine has a balanced acidity, firm tannins and a long aftertaste.
The Tenuta Argentiera Ventaglio IGT is considered one of the best wines from the Bolgheri region and is suitable for cellaring. It can be combined with hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses.
