Langmeil Hangin Snakes Shiraz

Langmeil's desire to make wines that are interesting and have a pedigree encouraged the Shiraz Viognier blend. It marks a change in regional style and helps highlight other important characteristics of Shiraz. A wine made for dining and sharing with family and friends. This wine is made from Shiraz grapes, supplemented with Viognier.

Medium deep carmine red with purple hues. A rich and lifted perfume of violets and blue fruits jump from the glass, with hints of raspberry jam and spicy notes adding to the complexity. Ripe and juicy berries flow across a medium-bodied palate, with soft and velvety tannins adding lovely structure and texture, while sweet and spicy harmonize the juicy fruit all the way to the finish.

Pairs perfectly with rice dishes and poultry.

Today, Chief Winemaker Paul Lindner oversees the vinification process and pays particular attention to making wine from individual vineyards, minimal handling and careful filtration to ensure distinctly well-balanced wines with subtle complexities. Langmeil shows that Barossa is capable of producing not only easily approachable wines but also more complex varieties with excellent aging potential.
