Muller-Catoir Scheurebe

Powerful scent of freshly cut grass and lime. Spicy aromas, almost oriental. Elegant with lively acidity, which gives the wine enormous freshness. Grated grapefruit peel in the aftertaste. A truly expressive Scheurebe!

2020: James Suckling: 91/100 "A discreet Scheurebe with subdued aromas of yellow grapefruit and basil. Very crisp and straight with an attractive lightness of touch. Crispy and refreshing finish. Will appeal to Sauvignon Blanc fans! Drink now. Screw cap. "

Scheurebe is a white grape variety. It is a cross between a wild grape and the Riesling grape and was first named and cultivated in 1916 by the German researcher and winegrower Georg Scheu. The wine made from Scheurebe has aromas of berries and grapefruit. Sweet dessert wine is also often made from this grape. This grape is most commonly planted in Rheinhessen and Palatinate, Germany. The wine has good acidity, giving the wine vitality and freshness, strength and richness.
